The Adecco Group appoints Ranjit de Sousa President LHH

Ranjit will build on the strong momentum of LHH as the leading end-to-end professional talent and executive solutions business.  With his experience and track record, Ranjit will further drive innovation, leveraging human-centric AI and ensuring clients and candidates benefit from the full power of the Adecco Group’s offering.

Ranjit de Sousa (50) is a Swiss citizen with a masters in economics, law and political science from the University of St Gallen (HSG). He has more than 25 years of leadership experience across public and private capital backed organizations, including 16 years with the Adecco Group. When leading the LHH Career Transition business, between 2018 and 2021, he delivered strong growth and profitability and extended the market leadership in career transition. He was instrumental in creating the Ezra coaching platform. Since leaving the Group in 2021, he has built businesses, The Coalyard and FOUND, HR-tech advisory and recruitment tech respectively.

Gaëlle de la Fosse has decided to leave the organization to pursue opportunities outside of the Group. In her tenure, Gaëlle has repositioned LHH into an end-to-end executive and professional talent solutions leader. Gaëlle will step down from her role as President & CEO of LHH and as a member of the Adecco Group’s Executive Committee at the end of May and will remain in an advisory role until mid-June, ensuring a smooth transition.

Denis Machuel, CEO of the Adecco Group said: “We warmly welcome Ranjit back to the Adecco Group to lead LHH. He is a deep expert in the professional talent space and has an impressive track record in driving profitable growth and innovation, with a customer first mindset and deep technological expertise. He is a highly effective leader who will be able to create immediate impact within the Group.

“Gaëlle is a visionary and transformational leader. I want to thank her for the significant impact she has had on LHH and the Group. In four years, Gaëlle has successfully repositioned LHH as a category leader in the executive and professional talent solutions materially strengthening the portfolio and the market positioning of the group. We wish Gaëlle all the very best in what comes next.”
Ranjit de Sousa added: “I am glad to be back at the Adecco Group and LHH. Work is being reinvented with AI reshaping how organizations find and grow talent. The companies that will thrive will be those that put people at the centre of this change. LHH sits right at that intersection. We cover the full talent lifecycle from how you hire, develop and transition careers. I believe we can bring this together in a way no one else can. I am looking forward to reconnecting to many great colleagues and closely supporting our clients and candidates.”
