Philippe Foriel-Destezet proposed for nomination as Honorary President of Adecco. Walther Andreas Jacobs proposed as new Board member.


Chéserex, Switzerland - April 12, 2006: The Board of Directors of the Adecco Group, the worldwide leader in Human Resource services, announced today the agenda and Board nominations for the next Annual General Meeting, to be held in Lausanne, Switzerland on May 23, 2006.


Mr. Philippe Foriel-Destezet (70) will not stand for re-election and is proposed for nomination as Honorary President of Adecco. Mr. Foriel-Destezet has been member of the Board since 1996 and was Co-Chairman from June 2004 to November 2005.  "With his nomination as Honorary President, we would like to recognize Philippe Foriel-Destezet's contribution to our success. Since he founded Ecco back in 1964, which we later merged with Adia in 1996 to form Adecco as the global leader in our industry, Philippe has been a source of inspiration for all of us, and we are thankful for that," said Klaus J. Jacobs, Chairman and CEO of Adecco.


The Board of Directors also proposes Mr. Walther Andreas Jacobs (42) as new Board member. Mr. W. Andreas Jacobs is Executive Chairman of the Board of Jacobs Holding AG (since March 2004), Chairman of the Board of Barry Callebaut AG (since December 2005) and Vice Chairman of the Board of Infront Sports & Media AG (since June 2004). He has been an independent entrepreneur since 1992. Prior to that, he worked as consultant and project manager with The Boston Consulting Group. Mr. W. Andreas Jacobs studied law at the universities of Freiburg im Breisgau, Munich and Montpellier, and subsequently obtained a post-graduate degree in European competition law (Dr. iur.) from the university of Freiburg. He was later awarded a Master of Business Administration by INSEAD in Fontainebleau.


The Board of Directors of Adecco S.A. consists of nine members.
