The Adecco Group launches free global AI learning initiative for jobseekers in collaboration with Microsoft
AI is rapidly changing how people work, learn, and lead. To meet new demand for AI skills and close gaps, this non-profit AI learning initiative is designed to reach learners quickly and at a global scale, including bringing under-served communities and sectors into the circle of opportunity. It focuses on empowering individuals with untapped potential to close the digital divide and build a more inclusive, future-ready workforce. The program will first be launched in Switzerland, with a phased global rollout to follow.
“AI can be a powerful bridge to opportunity. Democratizing AI skills is our responsibility to shape the workforce of the future,” said Denis Machuel, CEO of the Adecco Group. “AI has the potential to transform lives—but only if everyone has the opportunity to leverage it. This partnership reflects our shared belief that access to AI skilling must be inclusive, practical, and human-centric. By combining Microsoft’s learning platform with the Adecco Group’s global reach and workforce expertise, we’re helping people everywhere to build the confidence and capabilities to thrive in the AI era.”
“At Microsoft, we believe that access to AI skills should be universal and empowering—no matter where someone starts their journey,” said Naria Santa Lucia, General Manager, Microsoft Elevate Skills. “By partnering with the Adecco Group, we’re making it possible for jobseekers to build the confidence and capabilities needed to thrive in an AI-driven economy. Through our new Microsoft Elevate skills initiative, and with partners like the Adecco Group, we are opening doors for people from every background and equipping them with practical, future-ready skills to succeed in the workforce of tomorrow.”
The initiative offers free foundational AI skill development to all Adecco, LHH and Akkodis candidates and associates worldwide. It enables the real-world impact of employability by equipping candidates with newly acquired AI skills at scale and linking it to job opportunities through the Adecco Group’s workforce solutions – at scale.
Designed with first-hand knowledge of global candidate needs, the learning experience is flexible and modular, allowing participants to progress at their own pace. In addition to technical skills, the curriculum embeds ethical AI literacy, teaching learners how AI systems work, their risks, and how to use them responsibly. This initiative is not just about education—it's about empowering individuals to thrive in the AI-driven future of work.
The Adecco Group engages with approximately 60 million candidates annually. Through this global program, job seekers, registered candidates, and associates can enhance their AI skills. Targeted outreach and organic engagement strategies ensure meaningful impact.
The Adecco Group has a strong commitment to social mobility, inclusion and equal access to opportunity. Its purpose is to make the future work for everyone. Microsoft has a commitment to empower people around the world with AI skills for workforce readiness and new AI opportunities. These shared goals come together in this initiative to ensure candidates are prepared for the AI economy.
