For the second consecutive year, thousands of Adecco employees hit the streets of more than 900 cities in over 50 countries to take action against youth unemployment. On April 30th, Adecco people met over 600,000 people in the streets, public places and universities, offering career guidance and free training workshops.

Until May 31, talents can also participate in the Adecco Experience initiative and apply for around 100 job experiences across the world.

Employment prospects are dramatic for young people. According to International labour Organisation (ILO) estimates over 75 million young people worldwide are currently looking for work, and the Eurozone youth unemployment rate again hit 23.5% with peaks of 53.6% in Spain and 58.3% in Greece.

Adecco decided to take action and give a helping hand to school leavers and graduates in their search for a job. April 30th Street Day saw thousands of Adecco people in the streets offering tips on best practices, techniques for interviews and CV editing. In total, Adecco estimates that over 600,000 people all over the world were reached in more than 900 cities and during more than 2000 Adecco branches open days. In total, 1500 coaching sessions were held.

On the same day, the Adecco Experience was launched. Until May 31 job seekers can visit www.adeccowaytowork.com and apply for the one-month jobs available. From production to marketing, communications and human resources, around 100 exciting roles are waiting to be filled. Candidates must upload a 30-second video telling Adecco what their core talent is. Successful candidates will take up their roles during the month of July and Adecco will make sure the experience will be enriching and valuable for their future career development.

Candidates can also opt to apply for a unique opportunity: to become the “CEO of Adecco for one month” under the direct supervision of the Group CEO, Patrick De Maeseneire.
