Shanthi Flynn appointed Chief Human Resources Officer of Adecco Group
The Adecco Group, the world’s leading provider of Human Resources solutions, today announced the appointment of Shanthi Flynn as Chief Human Resources Officer and member of the Executive Committee, as of March 1, 2016.

Shanthi Flynn (51), a British national, has been appointed by the Adecco Group’s Board of Directors as the new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and member of the Executive Committee of the Adecco Group. Shanthi Flynn will take up her position in Zurich, Switzerland, on March 1, 2016.


Shanthi Flynn has almost 30 years’ experience of leading human resource functions and building talented teams up to regional level across multiple countries in Europe and Asia. In her most recent position, from 2010 to 2015, Shanthi Flynn was Senior Vice President Human Resources of Walmart Asia, based in Hong Kong. In this role, she led the HR team for Walmart’s retail businesses, which employs close to 150,000 people in more than 800 stores in the region.

Mark De Smedt, member of the Executive Committee since 2014 and currently CHRO, will take up the responsibility as Regional Head of Northern Europe as of January 1, 2016 and will continue in this dual function until Shanthi Flynn takes up her role in order to guarantee a smooth transition.
