How can women build a career around their priorities and make choices that reflect their goals? In the latest episode of the Future of Work Conversations, Gaelle de la Fosse, President of LHH, sat down with Lisa Lewin, President of General Assembly, for a wide-ranging conversation in honor of Women’s History Month and our women in the workplace issue. Lewin and de la Fosse discuss the shifting role of women in the workplace, the important of emotional intelligence in leadership, and the growing burnout many women leaders face.

In Conversation With Gaëlle and Lisa

“Women are really thinking about what they want in their jobs. Previously, women were in a take-it-or-leave-it position. Now, it’s more, ‘What am I crafting for myself?’ ‘What do I want out of my professional life, my personal life, and how do they tie together?’ This is different than in the past,” de la Fosse said.

Since the onset of the pandemic and the resulting shift to remote and hybrid work, women have played a key role in changing the way we work and the way leaders dealt with management challenges. Millions of women have begun to rethink their priorities in life, and as a result, they have begun to make changes, from leaving the workforce to finding more flexible arrangements.
